My elec windows have frozen, the auto fuse is supposed to circuit again once overloaded this has not happened?
i have a VW golf 2001, i think i overloaded the circuit whilst changing a bulb, the circuit has not automaticlly resumed to full working order what do i need to do?
That's odd that a bulb would cause a failure in the window circuit. The fuse you talk about is actually a self-resetting circuit breaker and will look like a small silver or black box plugged into the fuse box somewhere (there may be a couple of them for different circuits). Try reseating them and check all the fuses to see if any are blown and replace as needed. Sometimes a blown fuse will cause strange things to happen in other circuits. There are no relays for the windows circuit. Does everything else work correctly? If not, it may be associated somehow. You could have a permanent short in the wiring which won't allow the breaker to stay reset. Otherwise you may need to take it to a shop and have them track down the problem.
