Question on break barrel air rifles?
I just bought an air rifle and its break action, I think thats what you call it. Anyway, I heard with pump rifles, you can pump it a bit more than allowed and it will make it go faster. ( I live in Canada, so they're all slowed down to 500fps.) Is there a way to do this with break barrels too? Cause 500 is really slow and doesnt even go through styrofoam. Any ideas would be sweet.
It depends on the gun. Some airguns sold in Canada have been tuned down to sub 500FPS. So if it applys to yours you could tweak it back to full power. Aparently it is usualy a simple matter of removing an extra part. Of course legally you would be required to have a PAL and register it so the police know where it is so they can take it away when it gets banned.
Cleaning the barrel with solvent also give you more velocity.
