Should I keep my car, or sell it?
I have a 1990 chevy camaro, I have already put a new engine in it (350), so it has less then 5k miles, but it has 150k original miles. Every now and then the transmission will slip a little bit but not bad, It needs some routien brake maintenance, a U-Joint, and could definately use a paint job, stereo, speakers, and a sub! I would absolutely love this car if had all of these things fixed. I'm only 17 so it would be forever before I had the money to fix all of it. I need a reliable car to get me to and from work and school everyday. So should I sell my camaro for like 3k, and get a honda civic or toyota camry for what ever i can sell my car for? Because if I buy another car it's probly gonna have at least a 100k miles on it.
This sounds like one of those Finance questions in college about depreciation and when to sell. It sounds like you want to eventually "fix" your 90 Camaro. If it were me, I would sell it because it would cost more than its worth to make all the improvements you want to make. Buy a reliable car you can afford for now.
