Flicka Family Classics Collection (My Friend Flicka / Thunderhead: Son of Flicka / The Green Grass of Wyoming) $10.85 Roddy McDowall returns in the touching sequel "Thunderhead: Son of Flicka" (1945). This time, he raises Flicka's equally rebellious offspring, a white colt that piques the interest of a racing sponsor. Preston S. Foster, Rita Johnson co-star. Any Truck Drivers On Here, Please Help?
Hiya, 21 y/o rookie here...
Ok I want to pick up a used rig, and get a driver for local city driving.
However, I do not know which Rig would be best on maintenance and fuel for starters.
I know a sleeper is not nec.
My price range is between 5k - 15k, I have seen some kenworths T600b for 10k with a N-14 Cummins motor, Freightliner FLD's with Cat-12 and Cat-3406 motors for 9K , a 97' Freightliner F180 daycab with a cummins 270 for 6K.
I will be purchasing the rig, and hiring a driver to drive it within the city. I am not getting into the game and hoping for the best, I am very well connected as far as contracts go
I'm not sure I understand your business plan...
Are you going to operate this rig yourself, or hire it out to another driver? Do you have a load broker lined up, or are you just going to jump in and hope to find enough freight to keep going?
If you are looking to do local inter-city delivery work, you may be better off with a 24' box van instead of a semi truck & trailer. Depending on the State where you plan to operate this business, you may not need a CDL for a 24' van, and your operating expenses would be considerably lower. A box van will also be easier to maneuver in city traffic.
Buying a truck for someone else to drive sounds to me like a quick way to go broke!
