Coronet instead of the Charger?
Does anyone agree with me on that the new Dodge Charger should have been called the Coronet, and then later released the Charger as a two door and redesign the front and back end. I say this because the Coronet came in a four door and the charger never did. Could they have saved themself of the embarassment of the new Charger. (The Challenger is going to be awesome however, they hit the nail on the head with that one)
I have said that, myself. I don't think most people remember the Coronet as fondly as we do, however. Most non-Mopar lovers would be hard-pressed to name a Mopar other than the Charger, Roadrunner, or Barracuda.
The forthcoming 2 door version of the Charger is going to be called the Challenger. >grumble< Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that DCC is getting back into the RWD game again in style, but I wish they'd maintain some continuity in the name department. At least it's not as bad as what they did with the Charger/Challenger names in the 80's!
