does anyone know what CR-Mo tubing is? is it steel, chrome or aluminum?
As stated by others it's a steel alloy.
But . . . Myself and the great majority of Roadies DO NOT judge a roadbike against steel!!! Steel bikes are the 'Model-T Fords' of the bike world, if anything people would use Titanium as a comparison, Or even a high end carbon bike.
Steel is a Nice strong material for Touring and old people !
EDIT: Didn't mean to 'Dis' steel - infact having ridden many Aluminium bikes, a good steel one is preferable to Al. (I'm a Carbon Fibre Fan if the truth be known!).
EDIT: EEEEK! - a high stakes challenge from Mirage!
For the next couple of weeks my e-mail facility will be made available! (Take note!) - Mirage, your preferrence for steel is well documented; However, even YOU! must admit to the validity of the statements I have made when answering this question?
