Here, Newman evokes a more personal journey; the wonder we felt with our first "crush." It is basically a conversation between the poet and her ideal man.

With only the sea by her side, she witnesses the steady erosion of her efforts and learns it's just another hallucination, a daydream. We are at once captivated and grieved as we glide further toward a premonition of dissolution and departure. It is but a supernatural romance.

Now that her love has turned illusory under the blue sky, she does not seek a peaceful "death." Her lust for adventure and survival uplifts us. She is careful to acheive an emotional effect by commanding her love to listen and to celebrate life. This is both sublime and at the same time regenerative. It will be interesting to see how her poetry evolves.
