How often are height waivers given for the Coast Guard? and How long does it take?
My daughter just went through the MEPS process and she qualified for everything but her height. She is 4'11. She got a 92 on her ASVAB and is highley motivated to get into the Coast Guard.
Weird, I served with a girl who was 4'11" back in 2004. She never mentioned anything about having to get a waiver. I guess she got one and it just never came up in coversation. She was even in aviation. So either the rules have changed or she got a waiver. I didn't reven realize there was a minimum height (to all you Navy guys reading this, I've heard all the jokes, so save it). But you never see midgets in the service, so it makes sense. Yes, I said midget. I refuse to be "politically correct". Yet they keep promoting me. Good luck.
