motor prob with jeep commander?
cam on drivers side hit valve cover and broke through the valve cover. Head prob only or deeper into motor? I haven't taken the valve cover off yet. 3.7L v6 Thanks a ton
You might get lucky - It actually is not the cam which poked through - most likely the rocker shaft came loose and the rocker beat it's way through the thin sheet metal of the rocker cover.
You might have to Helicoil a stripped rocker shaft tower bolt hole.
You will most likely be able to fix it without removing the head at all.
Good news is that is the Buick 225 V6 engine and parts are cheap and plentiful.
