Why do some WRX STi's have the badging and some dont?
the more pictures i look at of the STi's, i notice that some have the pink "sti" decals on the front/side/rear and some don't? Are they just de-badged? or do the gold rims have something to do with it? im confused..
Depends on the year but a lot of people remove the badges. I removed all the badges off the rear hatch of my WRX mostly because they are a pain when I wax the car. You just heat them up with a hair dryer, pull them off carefully and polish the area. Some STI guy's like to remove them to keep people guessing. As far as the gold wheels go, that was really just random from the factory. I have seen every color with both gold and silver wheels so I have no idea how they decided which to add.
