I’ve only applied this once to my car about 6-8 weeks ago and it’s still doing a great job of protecting. After washing my car it shines as if I just waxed it so in that respect this wax is very durable and lasting. What I don’t care for is how it’s applied. You rub a small amount onto your vehicle and then have to immediately rub it off. If the wax even begins to dry it becomes difficult to wipe it off the surface. You definitely have to use a lot more force to wipe off this wax than others you let dry to a haze before removing which to me makes the whole process of waxing more of a pain than it needs to be.
I ended up waxing the back end of my car with Meguiar’s NXT 2.0 just to compare the two and the NXT was noticeably smoother than the gel wax if that’s something you care about. The two seem to be holding up exactly the same as far as protection, though.

Eagle One is offering to rebate the purchase price on this wax until September of 2010, so figured I would give it a try. Keep in mind that I am applying this wax to an (8) month old, highly waxed, black auto and that this is a detail/finishing product.
Normally, I wax the car at least two times per year with Mother’s Carnauba Cleaner Wax followed by a coat of Turtle Wax Ice Paste Synthetic or 3M Perfmance Finish Wax (no longer made). There is nothing like the look of carnauba – the follow up coat of synthetic is for durability.
Eagle One Gel Wax is everything they promise. It’s truly a slippery gel and as such, very easy to apply – you don’t have to rub it in, just wipe it on and buff it off. VERY easy and quick. The result if a fabulous carhauba gloss, and takes very little time.
The caveat with this wax is that it is a finish wax ONLY – if your paint is weathered and in need of a polishing abrasive (polishing product), it won’t really improve things much and it will indeed be VERY difficult to remove – not unlike using regular carnauba on such a finish.
Second caveat is that it comes off very easily when moist, which is what the directions suggest. But if you let it dry, it DOES beomce more difficult to remove, although no more difficult than other carnauba waxes. So, yes, you are much better off doing one panel at a time. Most waxes come off much easier when a bit damp, so this isn’t a unique idea…
So, highly recommended for topping off a finish in good shape. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because it isn’t for everyone, but definately for the purist at heart.

I rarely write product reviews, but had to for this one. With so many options for car wax, this one just doesn’t make the cut. Got it free after rebate, so thought it was worth a try. After applying, if the product dries even slightly, it is a bear to remove, something akin to removing honey from the finish. It’s basically clear, so very difficult to see when applied, and when dry. I did a test section of the hood of my car, and could barely tell the difference. The waxed are was slightly smoother to the touch, and I assume protected, but for that much work I want to see a shine.

This stuff dries way too fast…stay away unless you have a Buffer Machine – Unimpressed! Get McGuiars its soo much better.

Just follow the directions and this stuff goes on great. Wipe on, wipe off. As long as you don’t delay (why would you want to?) this stuff goes on fast with no residue around name badges and such. 2 people could probably wax a clean car in 7 or 8 minutes. Also, it was 108 in the shade and I was still able to wipe it off, though I only had a couple seconds.
I’ve gone thru hard wax, liquid wax, refinisher and so on. This should be the future- I’m sold.
