will a 67' 350 engine bolt pattern match up to my 93' sonoma standerd auto transmission?
yeh ive been looking at putting a 350 in my 93 sonoma and since a 350 engine swap is pretty common i figured i would give it a shot, and i got offered a 67' rebuilt engine and was wondering if that bolt pattern would match up to my tranny if not where could i buy the converter for it
1st off if it's a 1967 engine then my guess is it is not a 350. '67 was the 1st year for a 350 but very rare engine. Not alot of them made in '67
My guess is it's a 283, or 327
Next is yes the trans in your 93 (if you have a 4.3L v6) will bolt to a chevy v8 BUT...
In 93 they went to the 4L60E which is a full computer control'ed transmission and will not function with out the computer.. So to get it to work you would need to buy one of TCI's stand along trans controller computer units for $650-800
By that time, it becomes cheaper just to get you a used 700r4, or rebuilt th-350 and toss in there
