how can i clean a foam air filter?
all you do is rinse the filter in varsol/gas/brake clean from the clean side to the dirty so you don't further embed the contaminants into your filter. the blow it with compressed air but don't blow it to close it can damage the filter. then clean the filter box because chances are that it will be dirty to. then reinstall and start the engine. any excess chemicals left in the filter wont blow the engine in any way it may smoke abit but that's just because its running rich (like putting the choke on for example)
