Whats the best sauce for angel hair pasta?
I know there is a rule of thumb...but I cant remember it....yikes!
I love to just toss it with a blend of olive oil and butter (although I use I can't believe it's not butter....not as good but better for me lol), a mix of spices depending on what I'm making, but generally a little parsley, garlic (sauted fresh the best but powder will do), sauteed shallots, and whatever, and some parmesan cheese. And as the summer goes on, if you have some fresh herbs to toss in, that is BEYOND yummy. Clip a little fresh dill, or tear a few basil leaves in...perfection!
To me a red sauce is WAY too heavy for angel hair. I just like to toss it lightly and make it more of a seasoning than a sauce, as angel hair will get so bogged down in heavy sauces.
