Is it ok to mount a hard drive upside down? Will it effect the performance or lifespan of the drive?
Doing it for better cooling as I can put it right in the middle of some nice airflow, but I'd have to mount it upside down to do so.
I've got them mounted right ways up, sideways, upside down, on their "nose", hanging out of the box, etc., all worked just fine.
No worries about having it upside down.
