Foggy headlamps on 2009 impreza?
I've only had my car for about a year and a half but the headlamp casing already appears pretty cloudy and visible dust especially when they're turned on. I've tried cleaning them with glass cleaner but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. My question is whether this is typically on the inside or might it be on the outside and need some kind of headlight restoration kit. thanks.
to make
It's the outside. Here's what I do to when I come across that problem:
1. Wash the headlamps thoroughly with mild soap and water. Dry.
2. Apply rubbing compound to the headlamps according to package directions. After it has dried, wash it off with mild soap and water. Do this cycle 3 times, or until the headlamps appear clear.
3. Apply regular car wax to the headlamps according to package directions. Wash off with mild soap and water and buff.
Just to note, don't use ammonia based cleaners on plastics. It will wear them and dull the finish.
