Waxing your car before or after, with Meguiar's.Clay kit?
Okay I bought this Meguiar's clay kit Just a question do I wax my car with clay kit before or after I wax my car? And any helpful hints is doing so>?
I also bought Meguiar's Carnauba wax so yea hoping this come out good. I got all he supplies I believe microfiber towels also.
since this is such an obvious question, i suggest you go to
http://www.meguiars.com or http://www.mothers.com and readup again.
Claybar takes off all the coating, so it's pretty obvious you would do it before waxing .
Furthermore I believe it has these instructions right on the box too for you to clay first then followup with wax.
Finally, while you got carnauba, modern polymer waxes are easier to use and give better results. I suggest you trade in the carnauba wax for some Meguiars NXT 2.0 wax. Very easy to use, good results
For tips on using claybar:
1) you only need perhaps half the , put the other half back into the container or in a ziploc bag in case you drop
2) use plenty of lubricant. If you have a high quality car soap you can actually use the soap solution as lubricant instead of the usual detail spray.
3) let the claybar do the work.
4) be sure to work in the cold. If it's even warm, have cold water to put the claybar in.
