I’m a long time user of Turtle Wax Platinum Ultra Gloss Paste Wax for the past two years and thought I’d give this a try. I have a two-toned truck and its primary color is midnight blue. I gotta say that this Meguiar’s Tech Wax penetrates the dark finish very well giving it a deep shine as well as excellent weather protection that’s better than the Ultra Gloss. The Tech Wax is more expensive, but you can probably find it cheaper if you search the net which is what I did, but it wouldn’t be fair to Amazon if I disclosed that info here. I’m a wax freak so I use this everytime after I wash the truck since I don’t always have time to wash once a week like your suppose to. Even after two weeks of not washing, the Tech Wax still beads the surface of the hood, roof and tonneau cover.

I used my brother-in-law’s paste on my black Lexus GX. First the good:
*It did make my car shine like no other wax so far.
*It was very easy to apply and remove.
Now the not so good:
*It left smear marks that were difficult to remove.
*It left a ton of wax dust in the crevices of the car.
If I were to buy this product, I’d use the liquid version in the hopes that I can at least eliminate the dust part. I’m also interested to see what kind of staying power it has.

I bought this Meguires NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 for the first time (April 2009) thinking it was an improvement over the regular carnuba wax. It isn’t. The wax seemed to watery to me. Maybe I got a bad can? It went on hard and came off very hard. Applied the wax to a 4 year old car and after a month you could hardly tell it was waxed. My car is a lite cashmier color (tan) so even when there is good wax its hard to tell its been waxed.
I will not buy this brand of wax again. I;ll stick with the Carnuba Wax or the other brands I use besides McGuires….Been in some pretty heavy rain storms 1-2 months after the wax and there was no beading.

First I’m not a kid, I just didn’t feel like signing in. I applied this stuff to my wife’s SUV and purposely didn’t put any on the front bumper so I could compare it to the rest of the car. Well when I was finished the front bumper didn’t look any different from the rest of the car that was waxed using this NXT. Immmediately I knew this was a waste of money.
Fast forward to a month later when I washed my wife’s car again since using the NXT. When I sprayed the car with water there was absolutely NO beading at all. So the NXT didn’t even last a month or through the first wash. If you want something this bad just save your money and buy turtle wax. I am now convinced that the NXT is a HUGE waste of money.

I bought this based on the reviews here. It’s not as good as I was led to believe, certainly not as good as a quality yellow carnuba paste wax.
It goes on Ok, with a small bit of effort. Letting it dry and then taking it off is the same, easy but with a slight bit of effort. My main disappointment was in the result. It has less shine than a good quality carnuba wax and additional coats don’t improve the result. I don’t intend to continue using it.
Carnuba wax, on the other hand, goes on easy and smoothly, even on vinyl trim, doesn’t have to dry (you wipe it off as soon as you put it on), buffs to a bright shine, and multiple coats only make it better.
My advice: If you want a wax that goes on easily, comes off easily and lasts several months, use a good quality carnuba wax, one that doesn’t dry to a haze. I recommend the yellow paste wax from AutoSport (I’ve used it myself) but I’m sure there are others.
