Would this be considered a gambling website and need a special license?
I run a football pool at work and was thinking of incorporating the same type of 'pitch in $5' thing on my website for some regulars - just a few people, give them something fun to do.
But since it's done online, would I be doing anything illegal or is it ok?
Even the pool at work is illegal, technically speaking, but it's unlikely to garner any notice from the authorities. Start advertising what you're doing on the web and that could change in a hurry.
