2005 Ford 6.0L 4X4 Powerstroke?
Are the 6.0L Powerstrokes really that bad? I hear from some people there a dream and are super quick for a diesel? I was also wondering from you guys if I should buy this truck 2005 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel. This truck has 100,000 miles on it, crew cab, grille guard(brand new), and the FX4 package. They are asking $14,500!!! Which is great right?!? But I really want to no if they are really that bad?
three things about a 6.0 to put in perspective:
Be religious about maintenance and all as well as keep close look at oil and coolant levels, the truck starts to run hot shut it down... Ford has had some issues with oil coolers and EGR coolers causing damage that could be fixed cheap if the customers didn't go till it blew.
As someone said, stay away from the 2003 and early 2004s unless it's had most of the issues with them taken care of.
and roll it like you stole it... the harder you play the better these trucks are, these things aren't grocery getters and we've seen issues because of this
