Any ideas how I can remove white marks from the burgandy floor tiles surrounding my shower recess?
This is NOT soap scum. I have already scrubbed it with a Vileda bathroom scourer and shower power (which is a citrus oil based product) AND an amonia based product after that. It would appear that some sort of harsh abrasive has been used and has taken the glaze off the tiles. It is a beautiful federation bathroom and it looks like I dont clean it. We have just moved in to rented premises. JouJou73
what you first describe sounds like lime stains and could easily be removed with some lime-away or CLR cleaner. Try this first. If it does appear that a harsh abrasive has been used, talk to someone who is experienced with tiles . Maybe there is something simple you could re-glaze them with.
