Why is the Dr Scholl's Medicated Disks (wart remover) making my wart sting and burn?
I've had it on for 5 days now. This is my 3rd disk - I just put it on. The wart area is white (obviously from the sylic acid)... I removed disk #2, soaked the area (my thumb) for 5 minutes, dried it, and put the disk on and covered it with a bandage. Now it's burning and stinging. This was 15 minutes ago. Why is happening?
There are strong medicines in there that may not agree with you. But, I used Compound W years ago, and remember it stinging when I used it. Maybe it is getting worse because the wart is getting smaller, so there are less layers of skin for it to penetrate through.
