Is it safe to connect a choke collar's rings to make it into a regular collar for my dog to wear all the time?
My husband wanted to do this for our dog- to connect the two end rings on the choke chain collar to make it just a regular collar- and I saw a picture of another dog with their collar done like this. I just want to make sure it's safe and see if anyone knows any reason why it might not be safe. Thanks!
A choke collar that is properly sized for a training collar would be too big to use a regular collar by clipping the rings together. The extra collar could get caught more easily on objects and strangle your dog.

If the collar gets stuck on something, the elastic stretches so the dog can slip free. When properly fitted, you can connect a leash to both tabs of the collar to take the dog for a walk with out the dog being able to slip out of the collar.
