Can you give me a connection between brain size and tool making in early hominids?

please, with detail!

Their has never proven to be a connection directly between brain size and tool development, but it is the commonly believed theory. He are some facts for you-

Homo Habilis, Oldewan Tool types, pebble tools and are the least specialized tool types. All stone tools here

Homo Erectus- Acheulian tool types, the only thing found with them, these are like biface axes, knives and scrappers. Not much variety here, but more advanced then Habilis, and still all stone

Homo Neanderthal- Acheulian, Mousterian tools types associated with these guys. They had the biggest brains of all the early hominids, but did not develop the most specialized tools. All of above, but also bone tools and sharper points, and spear tips. Great variety, mostly stone.

Archaic Homo Sapiens- Acheulian, Mousterian, and Blade Technology. Smaller brains then the Neanderthal's, but developed blade technology with bone, antler, and ivory. Sharper and tougher, could be used for a greater variety of things. Getting away from stone as well, also tools that make other tools.

So as you can see, as the hominids get more recent, the tools become more specialized and more advanced. But brain size, like the Neanderthal and Sapien example, does not always mean greater tool usage or diversification. I hope this helps.
