Vintage Sixties
Does some modern popular music remind you of...?

like vintage sixties soul and jazz and blues. I'm not saying they are as good as the gods back in the day but people like Duffy, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Gabriella Cilmi, Jamie Cullum, Corrinne Bailey Rae, Joss Stone and VW Brown are all making music that throws back to that sort of period. And even like proper pop artists are making 60's tinged tunes like Girls Aloud and the Sugababes and Christina Aguilera. Is there a reason for this? or am I just imagining it?

Yet again, it's the current trend.
One female singer did it {either Amy Winehouse or Joss Stone}, and all the rest have been thrown onto the bandwaggon to ride the popular wave. Some manage it better than others ~ I dispute Adele's ability as a 'singer'...

The thing is, I'd rather have the *originals* than the mass-marketed impersonators.
